I'm fairly inactive on DeviantArt these days–as the kids say, for reasons.  None of my recent work is here, and the present selection isn't well-curated.  Contact me at photography@gentleworks.com for inquiries.

Greenhouse work claims all of my extra springtime hours, but the camera rides along whenever I get out.  I can't help but be pulled over by every flower and shoot that grabs me.

Here's to another year of wondrous life.

Other priorities have required me to take a break from my nature photography this year.  Besides a few portrait shoots and a couple of closed events I haven't done any photographic work in a few months.  However, I will be doing a bit of traveling this summer, and the camera always comes along.  I also plan to get to a few local spots and I have a bit of garden and nursery work to photograph, so more pictures should be on the way soon.

This last year has seen further diversification in my shooting, with opportunities for portrait, landscape, and event photography rounding out my usual specimen and detail work.  I'm still backlogged heavily on processing, and have more than a few shoots from which I haven't uploaded anything here yet.

I am coming up on a crossroads with deviantArt.  With my subscription expiring in a couple months, and my work getting more attention on other websites, I may put less emphasis on this profile.  If you enjoy seeing my work here, drop me a line below or let me know.  I feel less a part of the community now that several people I used to interactive with have left, and it would be nice to know if anyone out there is still watching.

Lately I've been working on local plants again as part of a couple projects to benefit community organizations.  I'm hoping to get back to scenery and landscapes soon, but specimen shots seem to be the order of the day.  At this point I'm hundreds of photos behind in posting and trying to figure out the role of all the different places that I'm sharing my work.  Increasingly I'm thinking about consolidating onto my own servers, but with so many purposes for my work it's been difficult to plan and figure out the best way to share it.

Prints are well behind as well.  I will be overhauling my entries in the print store soon, I think.  In the meantime, drop me a line if there's anything you want me to make available.  Thanks for visiting!
